National Heritage Open Day

gardenThe garden poster is currently publicising our church’s invitation to visitors this month as part of the National Open Days Programme co-ordinated by the National Trust.
Ours is the only historic building in Horsham participating in the national programme and the date selected coincides with the Sussex Historic Churches Trust sponsored “Ride and Stride” event.
heritageWe hope congregation members will join nonUnitarian visitors on the day as a special selection of our church’s historic books and pictures which will be on display alongside a sequence of projected on-screen images in the Church Hall illustrating the story of our church over the centuries. A stall offering drinks and snacks will also be available.

Do make a point of calling in on Saturday 9th to learn more about your church’s history.

Sunday 17th September In church and hall

Harvest Festival: Service and Lunch The morning service on 17th September will be our annual Harvest Service.

harvestCongregation members have always generously contributed the produce of their gardens and orchards to decorate altar and dais but, for the non-gardeners, offerings of tinned or packaged produce are also welcomed for forwarding to our charity.

Following usual practice we aim to hold a postservice lunch comprising soup, bread, cheeses and fruit, to which all are invited. For planning purposes, those good enough to offer items for the lunch will find a form in the Church Porch on which to list their contributions in advance.

Saturday 30th September 2.00pm

Leslie Room Barn, the Causeway Horsham Interfaith Forum Meeting

interfaith 2September’s speaker will be Romanian Orthodox priest Marian Efimov who will talk on his faith and spiritual journey.
